Shoes are defined as footwear with a mechanism capable of holding the foot in the heel of the shoe and a facility to support the foot during the stance phase of gait. Shoes were immaculately presented matt fabrics were always well brushed and leather buffed to a high gloss. Strappy designs were more evident in the more elegant evening shoes.
